Pianist / Music Educator
Yoko Matsushita
Yoko Matsushita is a pianist and music educator based in Valle de Bravo, State of Mexico. From a young age, she studied classical piano through a traditional approach under senior professors from Musashino Music University in Tokyo. Her musical journey later expanded into jazz, gospel, and popular music during her years in Connecticut and New York. In New York City, Yoko served as a pianist at a Christian church and performed as a soloist with a gospel choir in Westfield, Connecticut. She also devoted herself to music education, guiding many students at a private music school in Long Island, New York.
In 2014, Yoko moved to Valle de Bravo, where she founded her own music salon, Yoko's Music Salon. Since then, she has been dedicated to nurturing students through music and sharing a deeper understanding of musical expression, creativity, and the unique voice within each individual. Her approach goes beyond simply teaching how to play the piano. She guides each student on a personal journey of discovering, cultivating, and expressing what lives within them through sound.
